Some attorneys are baffled by a recent Michigan Court of appeals decision that a divorced Ferndale father cannot allow his girlfriend to spend the night when his daughters are visiting. Joan Mahoney, professor of law at Wayne State , commenting on the unusual ruling said she finds it "contrary to most trends in family law."
